01What counts as sensitive
Some things you may tell SpiriIA belong to what data-protection laws call special (or sensitive) categories of data. In SpiriIA, these are the topics concerned:
- physical health;
- mental health;
- trauma and painful experiences;
- addictions and habits;
- religion;
- spirituality and beliefs;
- rituals and religious or spiritual practices;
- sexual orientation;
- sexual life and practices;
- administrative and legal matters (never convictions or offences, see section 04).
SpiriIA does not ask you for any of this. It only concerns what you choose to tell it.
02Why we ask and how we use it
SpiriIA has a memory (its “Archiviste”) that retains what matters to you from one conversation to the next, so that replies feel personal and consistent. For the topics above, this memory is only built if you consent.
When you consent, short notes organised by theme are stored with your account and given as context to the AI models that write SpiriIA’s replies. They are used for nothing else: no advertising, no profiling for third parties, no sale.
03Your choice
Your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR and equivalent laws) is asked when you start, and it is optional.
SpiriIA keeps working normally and the service you get does not change. Its memory simply retains none of the topics listed above.
Declining concerns long-term memory, not what you may write: a message is still processed to answer you and stays in your message history for the usual period (see section 06).
We keep a record of your choice (date, channel, version of this page) as proof of consent.
04What is never stored
Criminal convictions and offences are never stored, whatever your choice. If you mention them, the conversation can continue, but they are not added to SpiriIA’s memory.
05Change your mind, at any time
- Turn it on or off: open the menu and choose Sensitive data, or send the /sensitive command. Withdrawing your consent stops this memory and erases the sensitive themes already stored. You can give your consent again the same way, whenever you like.
- Erase specific themes: send /delete and tick the themes you want to erase (or select them all).
- Erase everything: in the same menu, choose “Delete my account”, or write to admin@spiriia.com. See also Data deletion.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of what was done before the withdrawal.
06How long we keep it
- Memory by theme: until you erase it, withdraw your consent or delete your account.
- Message history: 12 months, on a rolling basis.
- Inactive account: deleted after 24 months without any interaction (unless a subscription is active).
- Proof of consent: kept in anonymised form for up to 5 years.
07Who receives it
To write its replies, SpiriIA sends the relevant context to generative-AI providers (for example OpenAI, Google and Anthropic) through secure APIs under no-retention terms. Your exchanges are never used or sold to train third-party public models. Data is hosted with our database provider (Supabase). Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the Standard Contractual Clauses.
The full list of sub-processors, the transfer safeguards and the identity of the controller are in our Privacy policy.
08Your rights and complaints
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to admin@spiriia.com, or use the commands above.
You may also lodge a complaint with your data-protection supervisory authority (for example the CNIL in France).
